I order egg and plain bagels regularly from across the country to get excellent bagels. This is a treat I indulge in because there is not a store in my city that sells egg bagels and only carry limited amounts of plain. It's frustrating. These bagels remind me of HOME.
NYC woman marries southern man. Years later woman finds New Yorker Bagels, oh joy she says, are they really good? Orders 3 doz right off the bat. Woman eats an egg bagel, just pass the smear please. Husband says, hey the bagels are pretty good what is an egg bagel. Woman replies, "nu if you were a Jew and grew up in NYC/NJ you would know." Final opinion - eat the bagel and let your taste buds come alive to goodness,
I’ve ordered before and they were good but these egg bagels are very dry and tasteless. I’m sorry to say that.
