Not chewy enough
I am disappointed in the texture of the bagels. I heated them up in a toaster oven for 4 minutes as per the instructions and while the crust is nicely crisp, the interior texture is way too soft and certainly not chewy. I grew up in Queens & these bagels are not what I hoped for.

We had been longing to get fresh NY bagels for some time when we happened on New Yorker Bagels. We decided to try them. We live in Franklin, TN so our expectations were modest. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. The bagels arrived and tasted as if we had bought them that day. We followed the recommendation of freezing the rest. Two days later we again followed the directions and let them thaw for 30 minutes then baked in the oven. To our delight! They again tasted as if we had just bought them. They were delicious and not too heavy! We already ordered 2 dozen more.
