Breakfast

Eggs and bagels are a match made in heaven – extra protein, some great carbs and tons of flavor. Take any flavor bagel, slice, toast and butter it, and top with a fried egg. To get fancy, you can cut a ring of bell pepper or onion and use it when frying your egg to corral all that goodness. You can even scramble the egg inside the ring with a fork, salt and pepper it, and sprinkle some cheese on top to melt. Got extra time? Add a few slices of bacon or a sausage patty.

Lunch

A meatball sub can be delicious, but a meatball bagel is an experience. Slice the very top off of your bagel, dig out the inside, and fill with hot meatballs and a drizzle of spicy pizza sauce. Cover with shredded provolone or mozzarella, and microwave for a minute or two until the cheese is melted. Sprinkle on tome parmesan, top with the cot off top of the bagel, and enjoy a meatball sandwich with a built-in drip protector.

Dinner

A light dinner can be accented with bagels easily when you get down to the last couple in the box. Just split one in half, butter lightly, sprinkle with garlic powder, and slide into the oven to toast at a low heat. Cut into wedges and use to mop up soup or chili, as a way to make fondue even more fun, or as big croutons in a big salad.

Snack

Don’t forget the late-night munchies. You can create a quick bagel pizza even in the wee hours with judicious application of sauce, cheese, and some chopped veggies or sliced meats. A few minutes in the microwave and you’re all set. For kids, consider cubing the bagels, drizzling with hot butter, and tossing in a cinnamon sugar mix for a after school snack.

There are hundreds of ways to use the bagels in your bagel box, so make 2018 the year you get creative with bagels and get healthier at the same time.
